We set our alarms for 7am this morning, just so we could bring you this Monday Morning Mixtape in plenty of time. Henry Wu is a musician and beatmaker from South London and part of the 22a crew that includes STW favourites Al Dobson Jr and Reginald Omas Mamode IV. A couple weeks back we premiered the brilliant title track from his latest EP Natural Complexion, so we’re delighted he’s followed it up with a MMM. This one’s the first we’ve had that’s been recorded live with a compère looking after proceedings throughout.
“I rung up my man Sims and said “I need you here in 15 minutes…”, and the rest was history. It’s a mixture of new and relatively old stuff from 22a members, alongside some other inspirations throughout the years.”
