Taken from pop/soul songstress Charlotte OC‘s EP Colour My Heart, ‘Heartless’ is an innovative track combining darkened bluesy tones with more predictable synth-pop elements which, thanks to its remix curated by Moodymann, has been given a new lease of life. Moodymann’s reworking is five and a half minutes of electronic angst which seems to undergo constant and gradual transformations throughout its duration. The remix is a dance-orientated reincarnation of its former pop music self, elevating the original to serious dancefloor potential. To predict anything less from Moodymann would simply be naïve.
