The majority of Murat Tepeli’s time is spent saving lives, but when he gets a bit of down time from his duties as a surgeon he turns his attention to a musically creative output. Fee Fi Fo Funk For Me is his latest effort on Cologne-based ava. Records, which comes with a standout remix from label boss Damiano von Erckert. He does away with the “Jazz Funk” vocal refrain and injects shuffling hi-hats and a lethal sequence of analogue hits. If only we’d come across this last month and you’d be reading it in our Remixes of 2013. Regardless, Damiano and ava. are two names to keep a close eye on in 2014.
