With the passing of Carnival weekend, so begins Britain’s decent into the post-festival season. Thankfully Tokyo Dub are determined to make that transition a little slower.
Already dab hands at throwing some of the UK’s best parties, focussed on the dubbier side of the electronic spectrum, this month they’re making the step up to a festival. The calculations are very simple: 5000 people, 10 genres, 10 fields of music and 100 artists. And 10 minutes walk away, Blue Mountain, The Attic Bar, The Old Coroners Court and The Bank will be hosting the after parties. One-wristband-covers-all business.
Stage partners alone are enough to make your mouth water. Teachings in Dub, Bambi Legs, Eat Your Greens, Swingamajig, United Nations of Dub and System, Dub Optic, Bare Safe and Sub Dub. We’ve picked our ones to watch below, but also glimpse the full lineup to the right.
Tickets are due to sell out before the weekend, which may lead to an increase in the site capacity and more tickets being made available. The sensible choice would be to buy before that imminent announcement, but keep checking tokyodub.com for updates.
