Sè Fire are a hip-hop group from Bristol and popped on our radar today after Kahn’s remix of their track In Every became available for a free download. His haunting interpretation builds on the gentle production of the original by bringing in elements of a Bonobo beat to it – a comparison we never thought we’d make! Maybe he was inspired by the similarities between Jamileh Lee’s vocals on In Every and Andreya Triana or Szjerdene? Regardless, it’s a beautiful rework, that remains sensitive to an original that is equally as powerful and also well worth a listen.
