Earlier this month we teamed up with Just Ticket and Jack Music Agency (the agency wing of Just Jack) for a day party in Bristol. After a washout morning setting up, the skies parted for a very un-British afternoon of sun, complemented by set after set of outstanding music from Seka, Rowlanz, Typesun, James Welsh and Mano Le Tough. Hippies were dancing in the fields surrounding the court, fresh Pimm’s was flowing and bbq smoke from the jerk chicken and burger van blanked the court – it was one hell of a day. It’s a bit self-congratulatory to write a long review about it so instead we’ll leave it to Theo Cottle who expertly captured the day’s proceedings. His other work is well worth checking out at theosphotos.tumblr.com. Have a listen below to some tracks and mixes by those who played on the day (including a mix by Tom D who, unfortunately, we weren’t able to fit it on the day). Thanks to everyone who made it down, and thanks also to everyone who helped out before and after. Stand by for the video and we hope to see you at the next one!
