Sunday nights are usually accompanied by feelings of dread and despondency, but not this week, with Crack hosting How To Dress Well, the indie-RnB project of Tom Krell. His highly acclaimed 2012 album Total Loss is notable for its powerfully emotive sound, and he is known for delivering equally raw and meaningful live performances. It is perhaps unsurprising, but no less impressive, that he does all this whilst studying for a PhD in philosophy, and we look forward to seeing the talented man in action. Apt support comes in the form of Bristol’s Typesun, producer of breakaway underground success The PL, who will be bringing his refined live setup to Thekla’s hull. And following a dynamic performance at Crack’s third birthday party, the intimately ambient electronic duo Face+Heel complete the line up. Seems strange to say it, but let’s fast-forward straight to Sunday night.
