Cornell Campbell – Pretty Looks Isn’t All

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Cornell Campbell is undeniably a legend of the ska/rock steady/reggae movement that flourished during the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Best known for his recordings on Jamaica’s most renowned record label Studio One, plus his work with dub hero Bunny Lee, Campbell has remained a forerunner of dancehall music to this day. This 1977 track is actually a cover of The Heptones’ 1970’s classic Pretty Looks – with both the original and Campbell’s cover becoming instant hits worldwide.
