As the summer draws to a doleful close and darker mornings haunt us all, boutique event East Ender is warming up to be the climax of the festival season. Located in the cultural metropolis of East London, the three day arts and music micro-festival will take root at the Village Underground and Holywell Car Park, embracing a mindblowing line-up alongside local artists and crafts people exhibiting their work.
The three days will bring a diverse range of talent, from left field electronic music to hip hop to dub and reggae – highlights for us being JJ Doom (MF Doom‘s most recent project), Hyperdub‘s first lady Cooly G and UK Hip-Hop legend Blak Twang. Alongside all this, the festival’s open air art gallery will provide an expressive space for artists to exhibit, while a collection of local artists produce live street art and outdoor art installations in a range of mediums. It’s about time this trendy supertown got a hat to match…
