Despite self-releasing debut EP All For Your Smile in March, there is barely anything known about Bristol producer Stumbleine. But given the unique sound, we doubt that will be the case for much longer. The aptly-titled album provides a lovely blend of soothing, dreamy vocal samples over the top of mellow, ambient electronic beats. Stumbleine combines the heavier tones of Burial’s UK with the lo-fi sound of Yuck in much the same way as similarly-anonymous producer Vondelpark. Aliceband is the pick of the bunch, but every song creates a mystical progression through what is an excellent debut. Magical sounds from a mystery producer and fingers crossed there’s more to come.
