Premiere: Jordan – Don’t Go

There’s few words that better sum up Glasgow’s vociferous hunger for club music than “belter”. Fitting then, that Huntleys + Palmers have adopted the local slang for a sublabel that focusses on the kind of peak time slammers that give the Sub Club ceiling a few more dents by the end of the night.

For their 15th release, they link up with Belfast native Jordan, who follows up a debut for Abandon Silence and the launching of his own edits label through Lobster Thermin. Brought up in a city also prone to embracing the odd belter, ‘Don’t Go’ sees him flip an afro-funk classic with a squelchy makeover.

BLTRS015 is out 15th March – buy from Phonica and Juno.

Watch our documentary on Huntleys + Palmers as they close the curtain on 10 years of parties.
