Premiere: Pascal Viscardi – Village Numérique

Pascal Viscardi’s Chabha Dassin Hakku marks a mature turning point for French record label La Chinerie. In his EP the half-Swiss, half-Napolitan producer explores a cosmic standpoint on African music, each track a unique journey through a fusion of sounds, both futuristic and reminiscent of deep musical ancestries.

The final track and today’s premiere, Village Numérique, takes the tempo down guiding the listener through hypnotic marimba melodies, vintage keyboards, and playful electronic FX. This ends the EP introspectively with Viscardi explicitly addressing African musical roots in the short sampled spoken passage seamlessly woven into the landscape of sounds.

Chabha Dassin Hakku will be released on 22 December, distributed by Chez Emile.
