Premiere: Big Miz – Dance Of Witches

In September, Dublin’s All City Records added another sub label to their healthy roster. Spawned from a fruity club night, Pear showcases a more dancefloor driven sound than their existing imprints.

They kicked things off with a synth driven release from R.Kitt, and now we’re treated to Cotard Delusion, a three track EP from Glaswegian producer Big Miz. The Dixon Avenue Basement Jams signee has been making a name for himself in his home city since the inception of his Offbeat project and night. This residency has played a pivotal part in his breadth and flexibility as a DJ and producer, and although he only has a couple of releases under his belt there’s a certain refinement and precision to his productions that speaks levels.

Opening with a thumping kick and shimmering pads, ‘Dance of Witches’ uncovers a muted acid line that bubbles up from the depths. Mischievous playful keys dance overhead eliciting a sense of allure and intrigue from the get go.

You can cop Cotard Delusion on vinyl and digital now.
