German imprint Bass Cadet Records line up the third release in their Orbits series with Detroit stalwart Alton Miller for his Orbit 03 EP. Any one acquainted with Alton’s 25 year discography – which includes releases on Planet E, Moods & Grooves, Peacefrog, KDJ, Clone, Neroli and Sound Signature – might recognise hints of past work in ‘Morning’. Starving the Discogs sharks of their $100 asking price for the original EP, Alton given his 2010 single ‘When The Morning Comes‘ a fresh lease of life by chopping up Amp Fiddler’s vocals, adding a bouncing bass line, rising strings and twinkling Rhodes.
