There’s no better feeling than going abroad, meeting new lovely people and discovering that they also make excellent music. This is exactly what happened with us and producer Tor Goffer, a young and incredibly exciting talent hailing from Tel Aviv.
Tor’s debut EP is at home on local imprint, No Waves, run by fellow TLV producer Stephan Bazbaz. It’s an impressive selection of dub-techno, a remix by another local talent TV.OUT and the divine, deep-house track ‘Tifoh’, which still transfixes us after countless listens. Like Fit Siegel’s ‘Carmine‘ or Laurence Guy’s ‘W.L.Y.B‘ , it’s one of those beautifully understated club tracks, that you can listen to walking around the city just as happily as when it’s dropped on a dance floor. It’s blissful, warming and has the most pleasing little kick-drum melody. Hurrah!
