Bert Stevens, a thusfar unsigned producer, has an extensive Soundcloud output that runs through introverted minimal, house and dub techno. ‘Equinox’, uploaded 3 weeks or so ago, is a tidy arrangement of tasteful elements. Sounding like a stripped down, modernised version of Anthony Nicholson’s fine Dance Anthology tracks – one of Peacefrog’s finest moments, this tune will surely have put Burt Stevens on the radar of label heads.
