Stamp favourite Damiano Von Erckert adds his soulful touch to German hip-hop producer Retrogott‘s ‘Life Changes’, crafting a swinging house creeper with a bright synthy stratosphere. Heavy on the hi-hats, the beat shuffles, a harsh snare snapping independently of the 4×4 kick. Over a glittering chord progression, Erckert stretches the vocal samples so they soar above the steady beat, removing the staccato arrangement in the original and complimenting the hazy keys.
Damiano Von Erckert’s remix is released as a bonus track on Retrogott’s EP Funky Beats and A Green Petrol Bus via AVA forthcoming this month. Available both on 12” and digitally.
