In the months leading up to the summer season we tend to find ourselves attaching that sunny disposition to tracks that encapsulate some part of its captivating complexion. With ‘Love is a Storm’ on his forthcoming Moon Life Theatre EP on Fly By Night Music, Giorgio Luceri produces a mesmeric mover that will certainly loosen a limb or two on the dance floor this year. However, it’s the dreamy remix from Bu-Mako Recordings’ head Jenifa Mayanja that has got us longing for those long summer nights which seem to linger at moments of twilight.
Jenifa centres her edit around the original’s main synth line, enhanced by delayed panning and complimented with a spacious piano that gradually forces its way to centre stage. Verging on that euphoric italo-house sound, Jenifa channels her inherent ability for a deep groove that has come to make her a well respected producer over the years and will make it hard to not to keep pulling this one out of the DJ bag this summer.
