Some summer wonderment from the Parisian newbie, Vendredi. A slurred garage rattle, wobbly shimmers, dusky pats, Minaret vocals and a string melody. All these dimensions and sounds could have come out a bit mish-mash, but they fuse seemlessly. ‘Adonis’ reaches us from Vendredi’s debut EP, Sola Nocte, which hosts three more of the producer’s unique takes on electronic. Worldly and melodic, they truly make for intriguing listening.
