Premiere: Rights (Braille x Seafloor) – Understand the Meanin’

February is a busy month for Brooklyn resident Praveen Sharma. Known best as producer Braille, and one half of Hotflush-signed duo Sepalcure alongside Machinedrum, Sharma has been hard at work on two separate EPs dropping this month.

Alongside the Everyone’s Crazy EP released this week on the Friends of Friends label, Braille has teamed up with Brooklyn’s Seafloor for a collaborative six-track collection forthcoming on Montreal-based imprint, Infinite Machine. Under their new collaborative alias of Rights, The Meaning EP brings floating pad lines and understated depth infused with elements of house, techno, garage and beat-based music.

Ahead of the release, we’re premiering ‘Understand the Meanin’, a downtempo score for the early hours, characterised by its skippy hi-hats and sultry vocal samples against panned chords and hidden textures. We’re looking forward to the release in its full beauty.

‘Understand the Meanin” is taken from The Meaning EP, out on the 23rd February via Infinite Machine. Pre-order the release digitally or on vinyl from Kudos Records.
