This new track from Stamp The Wax favourite Reginald Omas Mamode IV has that grooving, cruising Moodymann feel to it, mixed with his distinctive South London flavour. On ‘Balance’ he’s once again nailed that laid-back, soulful, head-nodding sound that has become so familiar with the whole 22a family (Al Dobson Jr, Henry Wu, Mo Kolours, Tenderlonious et al). This one is taken from the latest 22a EP and we’re honoured to be hosting the premiere. The South London label’s third release is a family affair with Reggie taking care of b-side and brother Mo Kolours looking after the a-side. For previews and to buy the hands-stamped, vinyl-only release, head to the 22a Bandcamp or Sounds of the Universe.
Keep an eye out for a Label Spotlight on 22a dropping next week, with a mix from Tenderlonious full of 22a exclusives. For more Reginald Omas Mamode, check his Monday Morning Mixtape for us.
