Mehmet Aslan, the man behind the insanely brilliant Turkish disco edit that had us gushing back in February, has returned with another fantastic edit of another original Turkish funk tune. This time that of the 80s Turkish group, Mazhar ve Fuat’s Adimiz Miskindir (incidentally, the group represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest twice in the 80s). Mehmet maintains the original’s winding psychedelic groove and dreamy Turkish vocals, but brings it all up to speed for the dancefloor with a tambourine baseline and undulating audio. A subtle yet totally alluring production.
