Day Party Preview: Mano Le Tough in focus

The day before we welcome him to Bristol to headline our day party with Jack Music Agency and Just Ticket, we thought we’d formally introduce you to Mano Le Tough. Irish-born Niall Mannion is now based in Berlin, where his monthly party Passion Beat and appearances at Panorama Bar and much further afield have garnered his reputation as one of the forerunners in his adopted city. His sets are a blend of cosmic disco, deep house and techno, and as a sign of how highly-regarded they are, he debuted Resident Advisors DJ Poll at #53 in 2012. Since then he’s made an album, Changing Days out on Permanent Vacation, an exploration into the darker side of his musical character, a similar direction his label-mate John Talabot took on the highly-acclaimed fIn LP. It’s an album full of ‘songs’ (rather than tracks), intricately constructed and many featuring his own voice, offering an interesting contrast to his work as a DJ. Mano’s stature is most definitely on the rise, and we can’t wait to hear what he’s got in store for us tomorrow.

Changing Days can be bought on Beatport, and we’ve picked out our favourites from the album below, alongside some choice mixes on Boiler Room and RBMA (click the embed for a tracklist). If you fancy joining us at the day party tomorrow, there are still a few left online at Crack and there will be 20 on the door tomorrow from 12pm.
