Hard And Strong is the second single from British Soul singer Alice Russell’s fifth solo album To Dust. We’ve heard the rework by Typesun a couple of times on the radio, but now it’s just gone up in full online for your listening pleasure. This take brings Luke’s own skills on the drums to the fore, by stripping Hard & Strong to barely more than vocals and beat in an interpretation that is a little meaner than the original. You know we’re already big fan’s of Typesun’s own releases, but this remix and a recent rework of Mina Tindle (below), suggest a real depth to the Bristol producer’s talents.
Hard and Strong will be released on 29 April, with another remix from Brighton’s Let The Machines Do The Work and is available exclusively from Etch Shop now. Alice will be playing at Fiddlers tomorrow night (26th) in Bristol, with tickets still available here. And Typesun will be appearing at Arc Festival this Saturday in Bristol. The lineup is quite frankly silly for the £20 you’ll pay for tickets.
