Even if you don’t know the name, if you’ve been watching the African Cup of Nations on Eurosport the chances are you’re already acqainted with débruit. His ferociously basey, Afrobeat-influenced track Nigeria What? was on heavy rotation throughout the tournament’s coverage. Seeing as Nigeria went on to win the whole thing, it makes this post of a new remix from the French producer all the more timely. The original is from London-based group KonKoma, whose work is rooted in 1970s Ghana Afrobeat. débruit gives the track his usual synth-laden, staccatoed-beat treatment.
