Returning for its 5th year, Fatboy Slim’s Big Beach Bootique is set to be Brighton’s biggest party of the year. Since attracting some 65,000 people in it’s first year, BBB has quickly become notorious around the world, with people flocking from all sides of the globe to rave it up. In 2009, an estimated 250,000 (that’s right, a quarter of a million) dance-music fanatics descended on Brighton beach in what was supposed to be a 35,000 capacity event, that quickly became headline news worldwide (you can watch live footage of the event here).
This year BBB moves off the beach and onto the greener pastures of the Amex Stadium, the new home of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club. Brighton-boy Norman Cook (a.k.a. Fatboy Slim) will be headlining both nights, supported by fellow Brighton beat-maker Carl Cox on Day 1 and bass-heavy trio Nero on Day 2. Maya Jane Coles, The 2 Bears, Jaguar Skills, Luciano, DJ Fresh, Annie Mac, Doorly and Union complete the lineup, for what will be a truly spectacular weekend of Electronic music.
