Premiere: Gramaphone Children – Plastik

There’s no shadow of a doubt when it comes to Gramaphone Children’s mastery of funk-laden grooves. As the co-founder of Bangkok’s Kitsch Cat Records and member of the boogie-licious Nite Ride DJ crew, he’s become one of Thailand’s foremost purveyors of funk, disco, boogie and electro.

His productions are a mesmerising kaleidoscopic voyage, filled with groovy bass licks and psychedelic keys played on analog synthesizers by the man himself. Gramaphone Children’s latest release via On Point Worldwide Records is another skilful take on jazz-fuelled funk, this time channeling the trippy and downtempo side with a bouncy flip of the title track from DOTT

‘Plastik’ oozes with a cool, laidback spirit fit for an easy afternoon. Shimmering cosmic keys engulf you in its sonic wonderland whilst the buzz of the bass cruises the track along the boogie highway. The track is brought to life with a chromatic 3D animated video by Diego Lazy, encompassing the mind-bending trip Gramaphone Children guides us through.

Plastik comes out on 30 March via On Point Records.
