Since starting life in 2017, Loose Fit Records’ output has orbited around the bright and joyous sounds of Italo disco, machine funk and electro but always approached through a contemporary lens. Having released music from the likes of Jordan Nocturne and Pepe, the label now call on the talents of another modern Italo advocate: Berlin-based DJ and producer Radondo.
With spells on Mufti’s Fucanglong Files and Slow Motion offshoot Wrong Era, he now makes his debut with Dante, a further showcase of his love for 80s influenced synth-work and driving bass excursions. On top of the two original cuts, on the B-side two Italo contemporaries add their own touch. Slow Motion co-founder Franz Scala takes on ‘Dust’, while our pick from Good Timin’ boss Jex Opolis is a playful and joyous Italo House take on the title track that’s primed for summer dance floors.
Dante will be released on Loose Fit on the 18th February.
