Premiere: Suze – Structure 1

Many producers find inspiration in their surroundings. From streets and parks to sandy beaches and bustling cities, there’s much to be drawn from these organic and synthetic places and spaces. In the case of 1020 resident Suze, it’s his homes of Bristol and Sheffield, or more specifically the architectural structures found within them, that have shaped his debut EP, Structures 1-5.

Having released a handful of original tracks and remixes for the likes of Yushh’s Pressure Dome and Tropopause, he now makes a home on London’s Room II Records with five tracks that are each inspired by an existing piece of functional architecture in one of the two cities. Choosing to focus on the aesthetics of these structures, treating them more as sculptures than practical constructions, he imagines each track through static and repeated shapes, looping melodies and raw synth timbres.

Structures 1-5 is out on 7th December via Room II Records.
