As the sun finally begins to rear its head, and thankfully shows no signs of shifting anytime soon, a welcome dose of sun-soaked music is much needed to soundtrack the incoming heatwave.
Answering our call is UK-based house producer Jonna, who has teamed up with Detroit vocalist Javonntte, for hazy deep house cut ‘Jus Move’. Finding a home on Lumberjacks in Hell, a label both artists have a longstanding relationship with, the track matches Javonntte’s silky smooth vocals with Jonna’s warm bass and bright soulful keys.
On the flip we’re treated to two rerubs of the single, one from the late, great Soulphiction and another from Unirhythm boss and 3 Chairs member Marcellus Pittman, who lets the percussion take the lead, teasing in chopped keys and vocals over crunchy shuffling beats.
