Party-turned-label Whitvoir are paying homage to the natural elements around them — the place they call home: Australia. Like their fellow musical Aussies River Yarra and Moonshoe Records, Whitvoir’s sonic output will be led by the organic and the trance-inducing, starting life with a four tracker from Warrandyte producer Jon Jones.
Across the release Jones explores fluid grooves and tribalistic rhythms, particularly on our pick, opener ‘Mystic Jungle’: a slice of outback trance that pairs organic percussion with dubbed out synth lines, atmospheric native bird calls and a rumbling bass line.
