In a series of Bandcamp exclusives, NTS Radio resident and Ruf Kutz boss Ruf Dug is sharing a batch of fresh releases, ranging from solo EPs to full compilations.
Following the first release, an instalment of lockdown creations a few weeks back, he rallies a bunch of friends together for the inaugural edition of a new compilation series: Expansion Pack. With each pack designed to “extend your reach” and “take you out of your head into a new world”, the first explores the theme of spaces, offering six ambient-not-ambient tracks that take this notion into different directions.
Our pick from fellow Mancunian comrade Raikes Parade journeys into eerie, atmospheric terrain on ‘Take A Nibble’, with the sounds of trickling waters melting below fuzzy stabs and bright ascending synth patterns.
