Premiere: Donald Dust – Skyway Patrol II

Italo synths and raw early house sounds are core ingredients in Edinburgh-based producer Donald Dust‘s productions. First heard on his debut EP for No Bad Days in 2017, these futuristic explorations continued on his releases for Bordello A Parigi, Paradise Palms, Claptrap and his own imprint Enter Planet Dust, which launched in 2018.

He continues that appreciation on his latest record, Mouth Feel, the next instalment on Leipzig’s Blaq Numbers‘ Whyte Numbers 12” series. The four original tracks see him bring all his influences to the table, from his homage to Hi-NRG pioneer Bobby Orlando on the opening track – which gets a remix from Mood Hut co-founder Local Artist – to the punchy Chicago House drums on ‘Bone Structure’. Bringing the EP to a close is our pick, ‘Skyway Patrol II’; a sequel of sorts to 2017’s ‘Skyway Patrol’, its anthemic, intergalactic Italo at its best.

Mouth Feel will be released on 17th April – grab your copy.
