Monday Morning Mixtape 279

Recline through 2017 Chicago avant-garde jazz, 2009 psychedelic minimal and meditative classical from New York.

Welcome to a new Monday Morning Mixtape, to help start your week on the right note. This week is curated by Lights Fluorescent, a new collaboration between Dave Harrington (Darkside) and Benjamin Jay (NDF/Benoit & Sergio). Their debut album The Oldest Sons Of The Oldest Sons, out now on Francis Harris’ label Kingdoms, leans toward the atmospheric, experimental tendencies of improvisational and ambient music.

In their own words: “For this mix we wanted to craft something that maintained and reflected the lilt and drifting pace of our music while also allowing for some favorite artists and new textures to act as interlocutors, suggesting the possible futures and imagined pasts of Lights Fluorescent.”
