Monday Morning Mixtape 275

Stream though 1967 Romanian acoustic melodies, 1974 Finnish prog-rock and ethereal Japanese ambient.

Welcome back to a new Monday morning soundtrack to help start your week off on the right note. This week is curated by Zebb & El of London based duo Midnight Groove, who have just started a monthly show, Kaleidoscope Party Music, on Internet Public Radio in Guadalajara, Mexico and have their debut release coming on Krywald & Farrer’s Top Pocket Records later this year.

In their own words: “We wanted to capture the soul of one blurry Autumn morning, waking to the left-overs of an almost forgotten summer sun. Weʼve always had an affinity for African music, especially the raw nature of field recordings often created with only one or two instruments. Weʼve interspersed the mix with these little snippets of life across the Sahel and beyond, through hip-hop, some pretty dream house from Australia, jazz, prog rock & soul.”
