Partaking in far less chin stroking than their southern counterparts, Red Laser Records continue their Italo Disco reign in the Northern mecca of Manchester with another fresh batch of “edit not edit tackle”.
Their tongue-in-cheek approach comes through on their recent offering, Bare Hitz From The Manctalo Diskoteque, that sees head honcho Il Bosco team up with The Bat & Flemming Dalum for four Italo reworks that are going to make dance floors all over the world that little bit warmer. The insider cuts ride the fringes of pop, funk, synth-pop and boogie, including our pick ‘Tokio’, a rare Italian boogie number from 1984 that Bosco adds a fresh Italo flare to.
Bare Hitz is out now. Grab your copy from Red Laser Records Bandcamp.
