For his new release Dublin’s Lee Kelly sheds his former guise in favour of his own name. Showcasing a more downtempo side to his productions compared with his efforts under his Sage moniker, Kelly lands on First Second label, a sub-label of All City Records, the record shop where he works.
A handful of the tracks were released last year on his cassette album of the same name that came out via wherethetimegoes. On the opening track, today’s premiere ‘Still Hopeful It’s True’, Kelly employs shimmering synths and twinkling keys for a blissful ambient outing, that’s equal parts hypnotic and cleansing.
