Denmark’s second biggest city Aarhus, lovingly nicknamed “The City Of Smiles” has been put on the map by Danish collective Regelbau and their hazy house sounds. The scene in the city is flourishing, spearheaded by a wealth of enthusiastic, creative youngsters, one of whom is Forte, a Regelbau family member who made his debut in 2017 on 12 Recs.
Having previously released music under different aliases, Intermissions marks Forte’s first full length release. Copenhagen label, collective and music venue ØEN REC. are the label behind it, welcoming Forte back to the family after his first outing with Away in 2018. The ethereal sounds of ‘Keyboard Musik’ are perfect for a twilight stroll; his blend of soft staccato drums and reflective synths striking a perfect balance between melancholic and elevating.
