Monday Morning Mixtape 251

Skip through Algerian folk, 1980 Nigerian psychedelic funk and an RnB instrumental from a dearly departed.

Welcome to a new soundtrack to start your week on the right note. This week is curated by SNO, a DJ and record collector born and raised in South Africa and now based in Manchester, where she holds down a radio for NTS and residency for Banana Hill. In her own words: “I have discovered some insanely good African music in my recent travels. It was more a journey of discovery I wanted to share, which I think is extremely important as music presenter. In addition, I made sure I stick to my versatile nature of inclusion.”

SNO plays Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival (15th-18th August).
