Munich-based label and record shop Public Possession welcome newcomers Aksel & Aino into the fold for their next release. The imprint, run by Marvin and Valentino, is now in it’s sixth year and has become a regular home for artists like Bell Towers, Sano and Mr Tophat.
Not much is known about Aksel & Aino, but this debut release exhibits the duo’s love of driving synths and knack for wistful, nostalgic lyricism. You’d be forgiven for thinking ‘Fading Pictures’ was a remastered version of an 80s recording; an ageless Italo pop number that’s equal parts euphoric and pensive.
