Last year The Very Polish Cut Outs marked their return with a debut release from Pejzaż, the new moniker of Earth Trax AKA Bartosz Kruczynski. Drawing on similar influences to Ptaki, the duo he operated in alongside Jaromir Kaminsky, the LP sampled forgotten Polish disco gems using signature cut and paste techniques.
Now, TVPCO label head Zambon has invited four loyal label affiliates to put their spin on a selection of tracks on the album. Among them is Freux, whose release on TVPCO sister label Transatlantyk exhibited a love for ambient soundscapes and lush pads. Stepping away from the tranquil Balearic flavours of the original, his rework of ‘Bałtyk’ adds crisp percussive breakdowns and amps up the keys for a euphoric cut ready to warm the dance floor.
Pejzaż Remiksy is out on 31 March. Pre-order your copy.
