Latvian-born, Tel Aviv-based artist Anna Lann is about to cap off a very strong 2018 with the Embodiment EP on Ransom Note Records. A whirlwind blend of techno, experimental electronics and left-field pop music, it draws comparison to artists like Holly Herndon and Cucina Povera.
Earlier in the year Anna smashed a bottle of champagne on Timothy Clerkin’s new Insult To Injury label with her Zephyr EP with a slab of downtempo psychedelic techno made in collaboration with French vocalist Emmanuel Caurel, and also released a stylish reinterpretation of C.A.R.’s ‘Cholera’, which became a fixture of Tel Aviv Fashion Week.
The new EP comes bundled with a host of remixes from Nick Höppner, Richard Sen and this from German producer Flug 8, whose ‘Ambient Incantation’ hollows out the lead single and refashions it as a dubwise, echo-drenched hall of mirrors.
Embodiment EP is out 14th December – buy from Ransom Note Records.
