Just as you have to sit tight for the majority of ‘Lovely Day’ until Bill Withers blasts that singular and triumphant “daaaaaaaaaaaay”, it takes until the tenth and final track on Yadava‘s debut album to make way for one saxophone note that rounds it all up perfectly. Because we’re fussy buggers, we asked if Yad could lengthen things out on the two minute original. Expecting our knuckles to be rattled, the next day we got a new version with an extra minute bolted out. You can’t say we don’t try to please.
