Premiere: Jerome Derradji – Step By Dub

Now approaching a half century of releases, Jerome Derradji’s Stilove4music have developed into an authority on the deep disco edit since their inception in 2005. Devin Dare, Delano Smith, Rick Wilhite, Rahaan, Garth Be and Trusme have all passed through over the years, to contribute records that feel just at home warming up the dance as they do as triumphant peak time moment in the middle of darker, tougher sets.

Unsurprisingly as label head, Jerome’s own music has featured heavily in their discography. For 047 he returns with a solo EP, Brighter Days, an exercise in restraint that gives maximum satisfaction if you keep your skipping finger at bay. Like so many other Stillove4music releases, the EP’s three tracks averaging over seven minutes each, offer subtle switch-ups and glimmers of excitement hidden deep its depths if you have the patience to give them the time they deserve.

Brighter Days is out 30th October – buy from Juno, Phonica and Deejay
