Premiere: José Roboter – The Dream House

Stepping away from the Canadian Riviera – where we’ve got used to hearing sounds like this – we find Parisian label Ville Nouvelle. Their first physical release sees two exciting french talents – José Roboter and Too Smooth Christ – occupying a two sides of a cassette, totalling 20 minutes of lo-fi, fuzzy house music each.

Our pick from the bunch is José Roboter’s ‘The Dream House’, a Ronseal job in musical form that does exactly what it says on the tin. Pan-pipes and flutes offer a helium effect, elevating the track skywards, much like Project Pablo, Jack J and House of Doors at their finest.

José & Christ Lost Relics is out on 15th February. Pre-order in cassette and digital formats from Bandcamp. Artwork supplied by Josejajaja
