Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival returns for its winter edition on the chalky white slopes of Leysin. Over four days between the 17th and 20th March, bars and venues around the family friendly ski resort located in the Swiss mountains host a selection of handpick acts and DJs.

With the first wave of acts now confirmed to be joining Gilles and the rest of the Worldwide family on the slopes, resort staff will need to be wary of increasing numbers of hotspots caused by the likes of Rhythm Section and 22a affiliate Henry Wu. Rare vinyl chief Rainer Trüby will be another warming cockles with his eclectic mix of house and electronic music all the while dipping into soul, disco, latin and funk. Back Acre’s very own afrofuturist DJ Khalab will bring the skank and bounce as his spacey afro-tribal sounds come crashing into the Swiss peaks.

Tickets for the festival come as a ski pass/festival combination negotiated especially for the best value. For more information head over to the Worldwide Festival Leysin site, and check out the full first wave below.
