After a successful Crowdfunder campaign, new UK festival Samphire will kick off July 2016.

Samphire Festival is a new independent family friendly, music and arts festival which reached a funding target of £20,000 a month before it’s scheduled campaign closure. Creating a community of investors in just three weeks Samphire became the fastest ever successfully funded festival on Crowdfunder, the UK’s biggest crowdfunding platform.

Porlock Hill in Somerset will provide the scenic home of the festival site, stationing attendees of Samphire’s first ever outing right on the coast of the South West of England within Exmoor National Park. Taking place between the 8th and 10th July, between solar power stages and wind turbines the festival will accommodate over 30 different live acts with music covering all genres including folk, funk, house, techno, reggae, afrobeat, indie and disco. We’re not sure if we can disclose the lineup just yet, but it looks like there will be some well known Bristol crews heading down that you’ll be familiar with if you’re a regular reader of these pages.
