Best described as a fusion of classic soulful vocals and contemporary UK urban sound-beds, the sound of twenty-something Singer-Songwriter KOF has an instant allure. Growing up between Liverpool and East London, KOF blossomed creatively smack bang in the middle of a UK black music explosion, teaming up with Grime-god Wiley, Gorillaz collaborator Curtis Lynch Jnr and Afro-Beat master Manu Dibango during his first few years as an artist. Releasing his debut EP An Alternative Soul back in April, he has already been added to a number of industry 2012 lists, alongside Frank Ocean and Azealia Banks. What’s more, with a forthcoming domestic tour, plus a scheduled European album release, we’re expecting KOF to take off in a matter of months.
