Manchester purveyors of the best in Italo Disco, Red Laser Records, stay close to home for their next release from fellow Mancunian Tommy Walker 3. He’s previously racked up releases on Dissident, Cyber Dance, the label he co-runs with Ali Renaut, Casionova and Spruxx, as well as a 2017 debut on Red Laser with his electro fuelled release Hardware Stuff.
Rooted in funk, Italo and old school electro, his forthcoming release, Leather Work, represents Walker’s tastes as both a producer and label owner. Today’s premiere is ‘Autopilot’ which opens with shimmering synth lines that cascade before breaking down into a certified groover. Driven by a funky bass line, bright guitar licks and buzzing electro synths, this one is bound to cause some dance floor destruction in the North West and beyond…
