When we recently interviewed Jazzanova’s Claas Brieler for our Diggers Directory series, he earmarked Andres Astorga a.k.a Trujillo as a key resource for finding good music. High praise indeed for the Venezuelan producer and one of the bosses of Apersonal Music alongside Andres Vegas, who have been responsible for notable released from Paxton Fettel and Ponzu Island, including that fantastic Andras Fox remix.
Trujillo supplies the next EP on the label, Everytime I Think Of You, with the the title track premiered here. With the help of Colombian singer Paulo Olarte, street soul blends with a balearic charm and trip-hop atmospheres. So, as the season changes from sliders and white socks to legitimate open-toed footwear, reach for the pina coladas as sink into this dreamer.
